Your role with us

Special Teacher

As a special teacher, you will work with in-depth knowledge of mathematics development with a focus on the individual level. You will use special pedagogical methods to plan, prepare, and conduct teaching and support the student based on their specific difficulties. You will carry out and document assessments, investigations, and various forms of pedagogical tests aimed at increasing understanding of the student's difficulties in schoolwork. As a special teacher, you will also contribute your expertise in the work with pedagogical investigations, adaptations, and action programs. You will work to remove barriers and difficulties in the learning environment, develop alternative learning environments and learning tools. You are a qualified conversation partner in matters concerning children's and students' mathematics development in team work as well as in student health teams.

Special Educator

Based on analyses at the individual, group, and organizational levels, you will work in a guiding role with a focus on group and organization. You will actively contribute to qualified discussions about learning situations and the development of the school environment together with the principal, work teams, and student health teams. Furthermore, you will support educators in structuring their work to facilitate students' learning situations. With a salutogenic approach, you will contribute to health-promoting and preventive work.

Questions regarding inclusion and values are a natural part of your daily work. In your work, you create relationships both internally and externally characterized by mutual respect and trust, and you meet students where they are. You engage, inspire, and stimulate students to learn and take responsibility, as well as lead and organize work to create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and collaboration. In a systematic way, you reflect on and evaluate practical work individually and together with others. Your tasks also include planning, prioritizing, and taking responsibility for your own time and development.

Who are we looking for?

For the position of special teacher, you are required to have a teaching license with the authority to teach special education regarding special support in grades 7-9 in primary school, as well as a special teacher's degree with a focus on mathematics development. You also need to have a teaching license with the authority to teach mathematics in grades 7-9. For the position of special educator, a special educator's degree and a teaching license for grades 7-9 in primary school are required, and it is advantageous if you are qualified in the subject of mathematics.

The assignment requires that you have three years of well-documented experience in teaching within the school system and experience in teaching in primary school, grades 7-9. As a special teacher, the ability to apply in-depth knowledge of mathematics development is also required. As a special educator, you need to have well-documented ability to guide. Furthermore, a good ability to implement the organization's mission regarding students in need of special support and knowledge to adapt working methods and approaches to different groups' and individuals' conditions is required. Of course, you are well acquainted with current research and have good knowledge regarding alternative learning tools as well as digital compensatory alternative learning tools.

You have good knowledge of and ability to work based on current governing documents. You can systematically reflect on and evaluate practical work individually and with others. The ability to see the organization from a holistic perspective and integrate student health work into the organization is required. In the role, you need to be able to use digital technology as a tool to search for information, plan, communicate, present, and document. Naturally, you have the ability to document in a structured manner and with good quality.

To practice a situationally adapted learning and leadership that is based on understanding students' situations and values and meeting them where they are, you handle this without difficulty. You create relationships both internally and externally characterized by respect and trust and can engage, inspire, stimulate, and empower students to learn and take responsibility.
